Your Labs Keep Coming Back "Normal." You Still Don't Feel Like Yourself.
In perimenopause, menopause, and beyond, a single blood draw can only tell you what was happening in one moment. The DUTCH Plus test shows you the pattern.

The Guessing Game
- Birth control, to "regulate" things — helped for a while, never explained anything
- An antidepressant for the mood swings — took the edge off, didn't touch the cause
- Cutting out sugar, then dairy, then gluten, one at a time — some relief, never lasting
- A hormone panel at your annual physical — "Your labs are normal."
- Melatonin, magnesium, half the supplement aisle — a little better sleep, still exhausted
None of it explained why you still don't feel like yourself.
The Problem With a Single Blood Draw
Here's the part almost no one tells you: a standard blood hormone test can only capture a single moment in time.
Your hormones aren't static. Estrogen, progesterone, and cortisol rise and fall in patterns across 24 hours — responding to your sleep, your stress, your cycle, even the time of day you happened to walk into the lab.
If you're not sure exactly where you are in your cycle, or your cycle isn't regular anymore, that single blood draw becomes even harder to interpret. In a lot of cases, it tells us almost nothing useful — and you've gone through testing without getting real answers.
A Different Kind of Test, Entirely
The DUTCH Plus test is widely considered the gold standard in functional medicine hormone testing — and it works completely differently from a blood panel.
Instead of one draw, you collect samples over a full 24-hour period. That gives us your hormones as they actually move through your day — not one isolated point, but your real pattern.
It also shows something blood testing can't: your hormone metabolites — how your body is actually processing and clearing these hormones, not just how much you're producing. Two women can have the same estrogen level and be metabolizing it in completely different ways.
And because your sex hormones and your stress hormones are deeply connected through your HPA axis, DUTCH Plus maps your full cortisol pattern too — including your cortisol awakening response. Ignore cortisol, and you miss a huge part of the picture.

What a Blood Panel Can't See
- One moment in time
- Doesn't account for where you are in your cycle

- Your full 24-hour hormone pattern
- Built around how your body actually moves through the day
- Shows hormone metabolites — how you're processing, not just producing
- Maps your complete cortisol / HPA axis pattern
- Explains what a "normal" blood panel misses
Imagine Starting From Real Data

You, If Any of This Resonates
This test is for you if you're in perimenopause, menopause, or beyond, and something feels off — even though every test you've had so far says you're fine. It's also for you if you're proactive and want real data before symptoms show up at all.
This test is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition.

FAQs
Is this the same as the hormone panel my doctor ran?
No. Most standard hormone panels are a single blood draw — one moment in time. DUTCH Plus is a 24-hour urine collection that shows your hormone pattern across the day, plus how your body is metabolizing those hormones and how your cortisol is behaving. It's a different kind of picture entirely.
Can I do this if I'm on hormone therapy or birth control?
If you're currently on hormonal birth control, DUTCH Plus generally isn't the right test to run right now — the synthetic hormones can interfere with your results. Send me a quick note through the contact page and I'll help you figure out the right timing, or point you to a better option for where you are right now.
Will my insurance cover this?
No — this test is billed directly and isn't covered by insurance, and we don't provide a superbill for reimbursement. That way your cost is upfront with no surprises.
How soon will I get my results?
Typically about two weeks after your kit arrives back at the lab.
Is this a diagnosis?
No. This test is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition. It's a tool to help you understand your own hormone patterns so we can have an informed conversation about what's next.
