What is Functional Wellness?

Though I am certified in Functional Medicine, I call the work that I do Functional Wellness.

That is because Functional Wellness is not a medical practice. I do not write prescriptions or provide medical care.

That being said, I have cared for patients in a hospital setting for over 20 years. Because of this conventional medicine experience, I have gained an in-depth understanding of the body. As a result, I chose functional medicine to unpack the preventative, alternative and functional ways to improve the health of others.

All of this has equipped me to offer Functional Wellness programs and support in a uniquely skilled way. Best of all, I am deeply committed to my work and passionately want to help others reconnect with their bodies in transformational ways.

What I do offer is the use of advanced labs that reveal the cause of a person’s physiologic imbalances. With these advanced labs, I am able to use my training, experience and passion to help people explore the root cause of their symptoms and offer sustainable results and wellness solutions that work.

I follow evidence-based practices from the Institute for Functional Medicine as well as my mentors, to create 16-week-long, personalized health and wellness programs for clients based on their history, goals, and lab results. Healthy habits and lifestyle changes, blended with a down-to-earth, supportive guide, can give you the empowered version of yourself to enhance your life in monumental ways.

It is so rewarding to help people move toward wellness on their healing journey.
