Finding Our Best Selves as We Age

So many women deal with horribly uncomfortable issues as they age. It is so disheartening when after trying with 100% effort to get to the bottom of it and doing all of the "right things" with diet and exercise, they still have upsetting symptoms.

They can't sleep

They don't understand what's happening with their hormones

They can't lose weight

They feel bloated and inflamed

They still experience skin concerns such as acne

They have consistent pain

They have irregular periods

They have a low sex drive

Worst of all is the emotional roller coaster that comes along with this. So many women do not even recognize themselves as they begin struggling to interact with loved ones in a way that reflects their love. It is so hard to make choices that align with our highest selves when we don't feel well, and this is compounded when we don't have answers as to why.

Some would say this is a natural part of aging. However, accepting this as a part of the aging process is discouraging and downright crippling. No one who has overcome difficulty accepted their symptoms or situations as fate when they had the choice.

It is the rebels in the world who reject acceptance. And there is one inside each one of us!!

When things aren't going well for us physically or emotionally, the body tries to get our attention.

The body begins to fight back when we slide into complacent acceptance, believing that these changes are normal.

It has to scream a little louder, and then a little louder, until we listen!

Many women are listening, but there is so much conflicting information out there about what to do that even the most committed woman cannot feel confident about different interventions like keto or fasting, exercise or the latest sleep aides and supplements.

Suffering as we age is NOT normal, and it is not necessary.

We just need to understand what is happening within us so that we can restore balance. The gut, hormones, mood, sleep, stress and inflammation are all intertwined. These changes are happening to women at younger and younger ages, and they are seeking explanations.

Women not only require the personalization of protocols based on their individual bodies.

They deserve it!

Think about the exquisite balance of hormones that happens uniquely within a woman's body that makes us such beautiful creatures!

As we get older, we don't have to feel miserable.

We can glide through all phases of life as the best version of ourselves far more easily when we know what it is that our bodies are asking for.

Functional labs are life-saving.

They show us what is happening at a deeper level, and from there, personalization of protocols allows women to move towards a sense of wellness, wholeness, and radiance that they know is their birthright.

For example, the DUTCH test gives us so much information about hormones like estrogen, progesterone, DHEA and cortisol and how well detoxification pathways are or are not working. We can even do cycle mapping when warranted.

It's incredible to see what these tests reveal about what is happening in the body!

Let's move together in this direction. Let's change the face of what an aging woman looks like.   It doesn’t have to be this way:

Feeling exhausted and lethargic

Short-tempered and moody

Bloated and uncomfortable

Overweight and Out of Shape

Tearful and emotional

Inflamed and Puffy

Any of these symptoms as a baseline is not normal. There is no greater gift we could give ourselves or others than to restore our health and wellness. We want our children to see us making choices that reflect self-care because we want them to do that too.

Within every single one of us is the radiant and energetic woman we admire.

It is my passion to help women discover that part of themselves and reveal their inner Goddess. Once the balance has been restored in the body, a complete transformation can occur.

In health,

Liz
